Duties:

As a Mortgage Originator at Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union, you will be responsible for proactively soliciting new residential mortgage business. Identifying, developing, and maintaining a quality network of business relationships that serve as a reoccuring source of referrals for new real estate lending opportunities will be a high priority in accordance with AAACU's mission and promise statements. Passion for nurturing and managing member relationships, and having an entrepreneurial spirit with a mindset that embraces critical questioning, innovation, service, and continuous improvement is a must.
Basic qualifications require a college degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field; Minimum of two years residential mortgage lending experience with a focus on generating self-sourced business; Proven knowledge of the financial industry; Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending programs/guidelines; Understanding of State and Federal Regulations governing Real Estate Lending; Experience in mortgage processing, underwriting and or closing procedures.
This position will be hybrid, working at the Rogers City Branch and remote.
