Days:Monday through Friday with some Saturdays


A Mortgage Loan Processor is to ensure completeness of mortgage loan documentation while adhering to department, service and quality standards.

Relationships:  Promote professionalism at all times; work cooperatively with other co-workers and provide cordial member service regardless of the individual’s personality, presence or communication style.  Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of credit union philosophies, policies, procedures, products and services – participate in staff development programs in support of the credit union's commitment to continuous improvement in sales, service, quality and teamwork.

Service and Sales: Deliver consistent exceptional member service by displaying sincere, outgoing and aggressive friendliness – smiling, acknowledging and or greeting every member, introducing yourself, making eye contact and thanking the member are all examples.  Support the credit union in all initiatives with a positive attitude and willingness to get the job done.

Operations and Production:  Verify, compile and enter application information for real estate loans:  review residential loan application files to verify application data is complete, accurate and meets established standards, including but not limited to type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, employer, length of employment, etc.


Basic Qualifications: Two years of work experience in residential mortgage lending with a high level of proficiency in mortgage loan processing and underwriting systems; proven knowledge of the financial industry.

Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending programs/guidelines; understanding of State and Federal Regulations governing Real Estate Lending. 

Proven ability to deliver exceptional member service – strong member service focus and demonstrated sales skills aptitude with verifiable job history showing stability, consistency, dependability, and accountability.

Additional Desired Attributes:

Strong computer skills including a fundamental understanding of mortgage system applications and Microsoft Office programs – ability to quickly learn new online systems and procedures as implemented.

Entrepreneurial spirit – An attitude and approach to thinking that actively seeks out change, rather than waiting to adapt to change. A mindset that embraces critical questioning, innovation, service and continuous improvement.
